RL.F Responding to Directions Involving Location Words

In this sequence the child learns to follow directions which involve location words, or prepositions. These are words which tell us where something is or where something is happening.

The materials you will need for this sequence are easy to find. When you work at a table with small objects, we suggest that you include objects different from the ones you are using in other sequences, for the sake of variety.

As for all the Receptive Language Sequences, any work you do at a table or in a quiet room is a preparation for the application of the skill in play and normal daily activities. It is also a preparation for the child’s use of location words in her own expressive language.

Below we list all the skills in this sequence.
