The baby now has enough control to be able to stand with only 1 hand held. (Walking with 1 hand held comes later.)
How to Assess
Method: Place your child in standing, held only by 1 hand. Score plus if your child can maintain this position.
How to Teach
All the work your baby has been doing up until now is used to enable her to perform this skill. If she is not able to do this, continue practising the earlier standing skills in this sequence.
Your baby must stand with straight hips (bottom in). If she is not able to do this, continue with earlier exercises.
