FM.J.83 MATCHES COLOURS, CHOICE OF 2

As for shapes, matching is the first step in learning to recognise colours.

In this first colour item, your child scores plus if he can match any one pair of colours. It does not matter what these colours are – they might be blue and yellow, or black and red, or any combination at all. At Macquarie, we generally begin teaching the 4 basic colours – red, blue, green and yellow – and blue and yellow is the combination most frequently mastered first.

Assess as for the following item, FM.J.84, scoring plus once your child has successfully matched any 2 colours when presented together in at least 4 out of 6 tries.

Teach as for FM.J.84.
